detestable sin

I read the most interesting thing today. i was on facebook and there is a pole on whether or not gay marriage should be legalized. One of my dear friends voted "NO" and her response to it was: "Sorry but in Marriage classes this week we were told there five sexes now in day:Women,Men,gay, lesbian, bisexual! God only invented 2 and I'm fine with friends that are that way, choose to be what you want but I would NEVER vote yes on that:("

there was a comment on this by her cousin thats said: "who says god invented two? just b/c it was just adam and eve does not mean that's how he wanted it to end up (a woman and a man) the bible is all about interpretation. try to read the bible in a new light."

O this did not rub me the right way at all.. yea i get a little excited.. i was thinking to myself.. who ever says God invented more than two needs to read their Bible. but really the thing that bugged me most is the statement about the Bible being open to interpretation. really?!?! since when has God ever changed just because you decide that He should. God wrote the Bible in simple words. the Bible clearly states that Homosexuality is wrong!! no if's, and's, or but's about it. 1st Corinthians 6:9 "Don't you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Those who indulge in sexual sin, who are idol worshipers, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals..." Any further questions?!?! if so how about Leviticus 18:22 "Do not practice homosexuality it is a detestable sin." How much more clearer can my God be?? It is these kinds of thoughts and attitudes that are dragging this country so far down. wake up and stop trying to put God in your little box. He is soooo much bigger than that. you can NOT use the Bible to fit your way of living. you need to fit your life the way the God commands (in the Bible). Am i hater of homosexuals..? most certainly not. i know many people who choose to live this way of life. i love them just not their way of living. and they know that.

i am not so naive

Sometime I wish people would learn not to underestimate me. When I want to get somewhere or get something accomplished I am very capable of doing so. Of course there are always limitations and set backs but I know how to push through it. I lived in a time where our money was tight and we had very little but we made it through.. Just because I am where I am today and don't look like i have ever had to fight my way out of the bottom doesn't mean anything. Looks can and are deceiving. Of course I don't believe in telling what most would call a "sob" story. I am not one who looks for a pity party.. But please know that I do know what it is like to go without in many aspects. I embrace that time in my life and it has taught me to be thankful of what I have. I will never forget it but I also will never return. Was it by choice and my own doing?? Of course not, who chooses to go without? Being born into it is one thing.. but staying in it is another. We all make decision...

negative challenge update #1

I know it has only been a day since I started this challenge, but let me tell you it is not easy. So far I have bit my tongue and have done a good job at not speaking anything out loud. My problem is in my head. It spins with words. I think that will be my roughest spot.. cleaning out my head. It is harder than you think. It's hard to shut off the thoughts that are trying to come out of your mouth.. But so far I can say I am doing better than I thought I would. I hope this can spread. :) sincerely [ME].
